This term our class topic is 'Divorced, Beheaded and Died'. Through this topic we will be completing lots of exciting and engaging activities across all areas of learning and experience. Some of these ideas include :

•  Look at recount writing and create a newspaper report linked to the Tudor period.

• Build on number skills by looking at multiplication and division. Focus on money and data too.

• Explore general Tudor life - What were their houses / schools like? What food did they eat? What sports did they play? What medicines did they have?

• Discuss Henry VIII's choices. Was he kind? Was he fair?

• Create portraits of a Tudor monarch using a variety of media.

READING - The key to everything in school is the ability to read and to foster a lifelong love of it. Please hear your child read as often as you can. Please bring reading books in every Thursday and log their reading on the reading sheet provided.

PE KIT - PE kit is to be brought to school so children can change in and out of their PE kit. These PE kits can be kept in their lockers. Your child’s PE day for the Spring Term is on a Tuesday. We will be swimming for the first five weeks, this will be every Friday.

FRUIT - Being a healthy school we promote eating fruit as a playtime snack. Fruit can either be brought in from home or purchased from school costing £1 per week.
