This term our class topic is 'My Community - The Olympics'. Through this topic we will be completing lots of exciting and engaging activities across all areas of learning and experience. Some of these ideas include :

• Research the history of the Olympics and how they have changed over time.

• Design our own versions of Olympic Stadiums on Minecraft – thinking of features that are required.

• Plan and compete in a ‘Cwm Glas Mini Olympics’.

• Listen and appraise different national anthems.

• Research sleep and its importance for human beings.

READING - The key to everything in school is the ability to read and to foster a lifelong love of it. Please hear your child read as often as you can.

PE KIT - PE kit is to be brought to school so children can change in and out of their PE kit. These PE kits can be kept in their lockers. 

FRUIT - Being a healthy school we promote eating fruit as a playtime snack. Fruit can either be brought in from home or purchased from school costing £1 per week.
